All about the Country Life Experience.

This tour is great for all family members and it is the perfect way to discover our cultural spark. This experience of local traditional life offers various Costa Rican activities in one single tour. You will have the chance to milk a cow, elaborate artisan cheese, plant vegetables, process sugar cane, and feed animals from the corral. 

If you are staying near Drake Bay this is a must, since there are no other activities that compile our traditions and authentic rural lifestyle like this one! You will also have the chance to visit Los Planes, a beautiful area surrounded by an amazing forest, where you will meet your hosts, the Solano Family.  

At the end of the tour, you will enjoy a delicious Costa Rican lunch, while supporting our effort of presenting and preserving our culture and traditions.

Things to bring: Sunscreen, insect repellent, tennis shoes or closed sandals, light and quick dry clothes, hat or cap, handkerchief, camera, towel.

    1. Day 1 Country Life Experience

      6:00 a.m. Pick up Hotel in Drake Bay*
      6:30 a.m. Start the day milking a cow.
      7:15 a.m. Elaboration of artisan cheese.
      8:15 a.m. Plant vegetables. 
      9:15 a.m. Sugar cane extraction.
      10:30 a.m. Feeding animals at the farm.
      11:30 a.m. Typical lunch and coffee. 
      12:30 p.m. Time to relax in a hammock. 
      1:00 p.m. End of the experience.
      * This tour runs two times a day at 6 am and 2 pm. Let us know your preferred beginning time when reserving.
