The García family has being around for more than 45 years in this beautiful mountain called La Balsa. Some time ago, the family took almost 4 hours to reach the farm from Puerto Jimenez, nowadays you can arrive by car or with a horse in a faster way. Their farm is big, and beautiful, and you can appreciate over 100 hectares of land from the entrance and admire the beauty of rural life at a glance.
Don Chepe who is more than 90 years old, lives in it with several sons and daughters, who dedicated themselves to cultivate rice, corn, beans, and cocoa. Currently, they have livestock, crops, fruits, chickens and consume everything from their own farm. At the farm, they have water well, they produce their own electricity, and try their best to manage their lives sustainably.
Things to bring: Insect repellent, sunblock, long sleeves, tennis shoes, hat or cap, handkerchief, camera, reusable water bottle.

9:00 a.m. Meet at Osa Wild Office*
9:05 a.m. Transport to El Corral to meet Javier
9:15 a.m. Horse ride to Finca Los Garcia.
9:40 a.m. Meet Jackie and start cooking.
11:00 a.m. Enjoy local food with Garcia Family.
11:15 a.m. Horse ride to El Corral.
12:00 p.m. Back to Puerto Jimenez.
