The Tapir’s Trail
Nature is full of extraordinary surprises for those who delve into their search for connection with the environment. El Trillo de la Danta invites you to be amazed by its intense biodiversity!
- Activity Level Challenging
- Group Size Large Group
The name "Trillo de la Danta" comes from the constant tapir use of wide trails for a long time. Its heavy body has created natural paths in between the forest. Michael and Gustavo use these trails with minimum impact on the environment.
You will be pick up by a minibus from Drake to Los Planes. On the way, you can enjoy the sighting of incredible birds such as the kites, turquoise cotinga, toucans, and mammals too. Once at the property, you will walk through its wonderful garden and learn from medicinal plants. After a short tour, the walk begins through the primary forest hopefully, with the aim to find a tapir in its natural habitat. Later, you will have the opportunity to take a bath in an emerald green river, that runs through the land. A pure connection with nature at its best.
