All about the Turtles Morning Walk at Preciosa.

Playa Preciosa in the Osa Peninsula is a key nesting ground for three endangered species of sea turtle found worldwide; the green turtle, olive ridley, and the loggerhead. Tortugas Preciosas is a local NGO that works hard to protect these turtles. And you can too!

Experience this local sea turtle protection project and learn about these magnificent species in two ways: morning patrols, done at Preciosa Beach in order to record the species, and a number of turtles that arrived to nest on the beach throughout the night before; night patrols, every night at Playa Preciosa in order to record the species, conduct health assessments and record the number of turtles that are nesting so far.
What to bring? Comfortable clothes, repellent, closed shoes, water.
